The ever-changing fashion landscape

It’s always interesting to see how fashion trends roll go through cycles of 15-20 years. We constantly see different aspects or styles of fashions from these periods, surfacing, but also being brought back to life in different ways. There are trends we can link back to 70’s styling, 80’s styling, and more! The great thing is, that fashion for each person can mean something different. The most important thing, is that you be you and dress in a way that brings out the best of you.
There are a few things we think you should know about fashion, here’s our top 3 Fashion tips!
1) Femininity - You AREN’T just the clothes you wear. There is so much more to really nailing a look. A smile can be one of the most attractive things about a women. The style and fashions she chooses, brings her to life. While you do feel better in great clothing, a good attitude will ALWAYS make you look amazing! Elegance & femininity is not standing out, but being remembered.
"What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language." —Miuccia Prada
2) Trends come and go. Don't be into trends. Don't make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live. It’s often been said that Fashions fade, style is eternal. It’s great to be able to identify what suits you as a person, but not to the point where you need to throw your wardrobe out every season and start again. We love linen because it is timeless, and you can mix and match and change around your accessories, scarves, jewellery, and other pieces to ensure that you are working within your own style. You can always mix up your current wardrobe with some trending jewellery, jackets or scarves, to ensure you can still wear what's in your wardrobe.

3) Getting out of your comfort zone can be extremely empowering. You don’t know if something looks good on you until you have tried it. Some of the best outfits i’ve pulled together, have been ones where i’ve pushed myself a little out of my comfort zone. It was in this zone of trying new things, that I really found a new styling, one that I wish I had found years earlier. You might try working with different color combinations, it might be that one particular addition of color can really bring your outfit to life. Slowly pushing yourself outside your comfort zone is the most freeing thing when it comes to fashion. Can you just take one of your ‘average’ outfits and make it something that won’t be forgotten in a long time? In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different. Challenge yourself, go on, it’s a new year!
